HELPFUL HINTS

The first step is to update your Resume/CV so that all relevant skills and work experience are included at a glance.

There are several formats and templates for preparing a Resume/CV which can be found online either free or paid.

Now get to work:

1.     Do not wait to see advertised Vacancies.  Prospective Employers may advertise vacancies on their website. You can find legal        employers online.

2.    Register with various employment agencies who are specialist in the area you are seeking to work in.

3.    Create profiles on social media such as LinkedIn or other outlets.

4.    Contact prospective Employers with a friendly email to check if they are looking to recruit.

5.    Consider offering to work as a Freelance or 'Temp' who can fill in with a moment's notice.  Some Freelance or Temporary positions can become permanent over time.  You may also find that this is a good way to fill your calendar.  You can work for several Employers until the best offer comes along.

6.    If skills are out of date, getting on a Course to update them can be a winning formula.  This shows potential Employers that you are serious about employment.

7.    Use impeccable English Grammar and Punctuation - this is not a social media post.

8.    Be patient, it may take some time to find the right job.
